JinkoSolar partners with UNSW, ANU and ARENA on solar cell research

JinkoSolar is proud to announce it is a partner in the $29.2 million Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) solar cell research program.

JinkoSolar is participating in a project which brings together leading research teams from around the world to address the most important sources of silicon cell efficiency loss. The project being lead by the Australian National University (ANU) and The University of New South Wales (UNSW), will develop new and innovative methods to identify these losses, and new approaches to mitigate their effects.

The project will identify important sources of efficiency loss across the entire production chain including ingot growth, wafer, cell and module production.

Along with the participation of JinkoSolar, UNSW and ANU, other world class organisations participating in the research include the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Research (Germany), and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (USA).

The end result of this project will be more efficient and reliable solar modules in mass production, which will lead to lower costs of solar electricity for Australian households, businesses and solar farm developers.
